Introduction of the second generation of the Crank Box

More light, a shorter charging time and cell phone charging at a lower price.

Introduction of the second generation of the Crank Box

The second generation of the Crank Box that will be shipped from December 2010 bundles all our experiences with the successful first generation of the product. The main drawback of the first generation is that it cannot be used to charge a cell phone. This feature is so much needed in rural Africa. Further improvements are: easier to use, more light a shorter charge time and last but not least: as somewhat lower price. We have really listened to our customers, the rural people of Africa.

The consumer price in Europe is set to € 49 including VAT.

Ecosoft is a participant in the conference "Sustainable Access to Sustainable Energy" in Moshi, Tanzania

Apart from Rik Eppens Ecosoft also included Elizabeth Kipuyo Tanzania Home Power Systems to the present. The conference was not only very educational. It was a very good chance to exchange experiences with colleagues. Most of them operate on the field of Solar PV systems. That does not mean that there are many similarities and that opportunities for cooperation. Crank Box and PV systems are more complementary than competitive.

The conference was an excellent opportunity for the new version of the Crank Box colleagues show.

Ecosoft DOE'Z Wins Award 2009

Ecosoft became the winner of the business award of its home town Zoetermeer.  Of course this was because the award was this year for a green business. Still it meant an enormous support to our work. With so much competition and while being one of the smallest companies of Zoetermeer competing with some of the biggest we were overwhelmed.

Ecosoft wint DOE’Z-Award 2009.
